Many people imagine that for the simple reason that they are living here they will learn Portuguese naturally, on the street, in their daily lives.

Of course, it is possible to learn in our daily lives, but what we have observed in almost 20 years of experience, is that when this happens we learn the language only to get by, with many grammatical errors and limited vocabulary. Over time and more interaction with Brazilians, it is embarrassing to be living here and not yet having mastered the language.
